About Me |
|
Born in Finland and raised in Australia, I always had a passion for art. After high school, I deferred university in the hopes of finding work in order to earn enough money to travel overseas to visit my birth country. The beauty of Finland’s forests and lakes inspired me to pursue a career in the Arts and the following year, back at home in Melbourne, I attended the Dandenong College of Technical and Further Education (TAFE). In the years leading up to this move, I thought I would make a career as a Graphic Designer, and once I started TAFE, I quickly discovered this was not the direction for me after all. I discovered I was quite good at figure drawing and illustration, and fell in love with photography, which became my major subject, with a minor in illustration. I graduated with an Advanced Certificate in Art and Design, and no job. After years of working for the public service, and a couple of kids later, I have finally returned to my passion, and I hope you like the results. I’ve been exploring my Nordic roots and the beauty and serenity of the forest is featured in many of my latest works. |

So, have a wander through my gallery and view a sample of some of my other art works. You will find a variety of styles and subjects, as well as a variety of media, and a stroll through my own memory lane amongst the work that has accumulated slowly over the years… From figure drawings and illustrations in my college days, to photos and paintings done more recently - enjoy! |
